The names of the victims of the erev Shabbos terror attack near Otniel are Rabbi Yaakov Litman HY”D, 44, and his son Netanel HY”D, 18. The levayas will begin at 21:00 in Har Menuchos in Yerushalayim.

The two were murdered in an Islamic terror attack close to Shabbos on Route 60 in the S. Hebron Hills area, not far from Yishuv Otniel.

According to the information released by police, the terrorists opened fire from a vehicle that was stopped on the side of the road. In addition to the fatalities, a 16-year-old was injured by shrapnel and a number of others treated for hysteria. They were all transported to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva.

From eyewitness reports, it is confirmed there was a Red Crescent (PA (Palestinian Authority) ) ambulance in the area, which saw the attack, but preferred to drive off rather than assist ‘settlers’ who were wounded by Islamic terrorists. It was Netanel who phoned in the attack but as the terrorist approached the vehicle he saw Netanel was still alive and finished the job at close range.

They were on their way for a Shabbos Chatan as daughter Sara is scheduled to get married on Tuesday with Ariel Beigel from Meitar, to the rav of the yishuv Rabbi Moshe Beigal Shlita.
